Guide to Creating Custom Flashcard Templates in Novli

Since April 2025, you can create custom flashcard templates in Novli. This gives you full control over the design of your flashcards.

In this guide, we walk you through how to use them.

1) Open the template creator

Go to the Flashcards page in the app, tap the menu in the top-right corner, then tap Create Flashcard Template.

Migrating existing flashcards to a new template

If you have already saved a flashcard and want to switch it to a different template, you can do that too.

On the Flashcards page, tap the menu in the top-right corner, then tap Edit Flashcards. Select the flashcard you want to edit, change its template on the edit screen, and save your changes.
